Web2Publish - Patch 8 - Change Log

This eighth patch, released on 03 Jun 2026, introduces the Global Buttons feature for the W2P wizard and includes several bug fixes.

ADMIN-3692	Global buttons in wizard steps	Added support for action buttons inside wizard steps. Admins can now configure one or more buttons to appear in any step. When a user clicks a button, the linked action runs in the background while the user keeps working. A notification appears when the action is done, and the result is ready in the same step right away. Result: Users no longer need to leave the wizard to trigger actions or wait for data to refresh. ADMIN-3684	Edit link of AS in Product Assignment view	Added an "Edit" link that replaces the Advanced Search button shortcut. The link appears only after the search is configured and results are indexed, letting users jump straight back to edit it. Result: Users can quickly update the Advanced Search setup without leaving the current step.

ADMIN-3730	Cannot type in text fields during PROCESS steps	Fixed an issue where users could not type into text fields or text areas inside PROCESS-type wizard steps. Result: Text input now works correctly in all PROCESS step forms.
ADMIN-3655	PDF preview shows outdated content after re-render	Fixed an issue where the PDF preview panel kept showing an old version of the document after a re-render was triggered. Result: The preview now always shows the latest PDF without needing a hard browser refresh.
ADMIN-3681	Edit icon overlaps the card border	Fixed an issue where the edit icon on publication cards was cutting into the card's right border instead of sitting neatly inside it. Result: Icons are now correctly aligned with consistent spacing at the card edge.
